Premium Detailing coats paint for owners across Port St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast. Coating starts at seven hundred fifty, and the work is done at the shop in Port St. Lucie rather than on a driveway.
What is ceramic coating?
A chemical polymer solution applied over the exterior to protect it from external paint damage. Once it is on, the finish is glossier, far more resistant to chemicals and contamination, and much easier to keep clean, because dirt and water have less to hold on to.
What does the process look like?
1. Paint evaluation
We examine the paint first, identifying scratches, oxidation and surface imperfections. This is what decides whether the car needs correction before anything is sealed over it.
2. Paint correction, where the paint needs it
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so anything that is going to be corrected has to be corrected now. Paint correction is its own job with its own page, and it is quoted separately after the evaluation.
3. Ceramic coating protection
The coating goes on, adding gloss, hydrophobic behavior and a shield against ultraviolet light and contaminants. Coating packages run up to five years depending on which one suits the vehicle. Interior and tire coatings are available alongside the paint.
4. Final detail and inspection
A complete finishing pass and an inspection before the vehicle goes back to you.
How long does a coating last, and can I still wash the car?
Up to five years depending on the package. Washing gets easier rather than harder: hand washing is the right way to look after a coated vehicle, and automatic washes with spinning brushes are the thing to avoid, because they put the swirls straight back into the paint.
Will a coating stop rock chips?
No. A coating is thin. It adds gloss, chemical resistance and much easier cleaning, but stopping chips and road debris is the job of paint protection film. Plenty of owners use both, with film on the impact areas and coating over the rest.
